- 5 lb. flour
- 3 yeast cakes
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. salt
- 1 qt. + 1 c. milk
- 3 whole eggs + 7 yolks
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 box raisins
- 1 lb. butter
Directions

1Scald milk.

2Pour over sugar and butter.

3Cool.

4Dissolve yeast cake in 1/3 cup warm water.

5Add this to the milk mixture. Add the flour and mix this well.

6Add salt to eggs and beat until thick.

7Add to mixture and mix this good.

8Knead for 20 to 30 minutes.

9Cover and let rise 3 to 4 hours at room temperature. Punch down and put in loaf pans and let rise again about 1 hour. Bake at 325° for 45 minutes.
