- 3 c. flour
- 3 c. sugar
- 1 c. sour cream
- 2 Tbsp. vanilla butternut flavoring or 1 Tbsp. vanilla and 1 Tbsp. rum flavoring
- 2 sticks (1 c.) margarine
- 5 large eggs
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 10 oz. jar maraschino cherries
- 1 c. chopped nuts
Directions

1Cream margarine, sugar and salt.

2Add eggs, 1 at a time and beat well.

3Add flour and milk alternately, ending with flour.

4Add flavoring.

5Add jar of chopped maraschino cherries, well drained. Add walnuts.

6Fold in cherries and walnuts.

7Bake in greased and floured tube pan for 2 to 2 1/2 hours or until done.

8Start cake in cold oven and do not open oven door while baking.

9Gas oven 325°; electric oven 300°.
