- 1/2 lb. sausage
- 2 medium sweet potatoes, peeled and sliced
- 3 medium apples, peeled and sliced
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. cold water
- 1 Tbsp. sausage drippings
Directions

1Cut sausage into 1/2-inch pieces or form bulk sausage into small balls.

2Fry until well done; drain, reserving 1 tablespoon drippings.

3Arrange layers of potatoes, apples and sausage in a buttered 1 1/2-quart casserole.

4Combine sugar, flour, and salt. Blend with water.

5Pour over layer.

6Drizzle drippings over all. Cover.

7Bake at 375° for 45 minutes or until apples and potatoes are tender.
