- 1 2/3 c. maple syrup
- 1 stick butter
- 1/2 Tbsp. ground nutmeg
- 7 c. popped popcorn
- 1 c. chopped, toasted almonds
- 1 c. chopped pecans
Directions

1In a heavy saucepan, combine maple syrup, butter and nutmeg, boiling until mixture reaches 270° on a candy thermometer (soft crack stage), stirring occasionally.

2Mix popcorn, almonds and pecans.

3Dribble syrup mixture onto popcorn and nut mixture until well covered.

4May be made into bite-size popcorn balls and wrapped in wax paper or pressed into a large oiled pan and broken into smaller pieces when hardened.

5Keep in a container with a tight lid.

6Makes 7 to 9 balls.
