Ingredients

  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. white Karo
  • 2/3 c. water
  • 1/2 c. margarine
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 6 qt. popped corn

Directions

    In heavy saucepan, combine first 6 ingredients; cook over medium heat, stirring until sugar is dissolved.

    Cook to brittle ball in cold water.

    Remove from heat, add vanilla and if desired, color.

    Pour immediately over warm popcorn.

    Shape into balls.

    Dip palm in water before shaping into balls as it will keep it from sticking to your hands.

    Yields 2 dozen.
