  • 5 qt. popped corn
  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. maple flavor syrup
  • 1 tsp. vinegar

Directions

    Keep popcorn hot and crisp in slow oven.

    Combine sugar, water, syrup, vinegar and vanilla.

    Cook to hard-ball stage (250°).

    Pour slowly over popcorn.

    Mix well to coat every kernel. Use butter on hands to press into balls.

    Makes about 20 balls.
