  • 1/2 lb. popped corn (fix ahead)
  • 2/3 c. corn syrup
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2/3 c. boiling water
  • 2 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 2 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 2 Tbsp. oleo or butter
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. soda

Directions

    Place popcorn in large bowl or pan.

    Combine sugar, syrup, water and vinegar.

    Heat to boiling.

    Add cream of tartar; boil to soft ball stage (250°).

    Remove from fire.

    Add soda, oleo and vanilla.

    Pour over popcorn; stir and form into balls.
