Ingredients

  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/3 c. white corn syrup
  • 1/3 c. water
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vinegar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 qt. popped corn

Directions

    Combine sugar, syrup, water, butter, vinegar and salt.

    Cook, stirring, until sugar is dissolved.

    Continue cooking without stirring until syrup reaches 270° or forms a brittle ball when dropped in cold water.

    Add vanilla.

    Pour syrup over popped corn, stirring until all kernels are covered.

    Grease hands with butter and shape into balls.
