Ingredients
- 1 large bowl popped corn
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1 tsp. butter
- 1/4 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. flavoring (your choice)
- food coloring (if desired)
Directions

1Remove all unpopped kernels from the bowl of popped corn.

2In a saucepan, mix together sugar, syrup and cream of tartar.

3Bring it to a boil and cook without stirring to a hard cook test or 242° on a candy thermometer.

4Add butter, soda, flavoring and coloring if desired.

5Pour quickly over the popped corn.

6Stir with a wooden spoon and then mold into large firm balls in the palms of your hands.

7Place on waxed paper to dry.

8You may make a face on the popcorn ball by using bits of cherry or raisins for eyes and mouths.

9They will look more attractive if covered with clear cellophane.
