Ingredients

  • 4 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 2 c. milk
  • 2 c. flour (not self-rising)
  • 1 tsp. salt

Directions

    Heat oven to 450°.

    Grease 12 deep custard cups or 16 muffin cups.

    Measure all ingredients into mixing bowl.

    Stir with fork until smooth.

    Fill custard cups half full, muffin cups 3/4 full. Bake 25 minutes; lower temperature to 350° and bake 15 to 20 minutes longer or until deep golden brown.

    Remove from cups immediately (or serve from pan).

    Serve hot.

    Makes 12 to 16 popovers.
