Poppy Seed Bread

Ingredients

  • 3 c. plain flour
  • 2 1/3 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/2 c. milk
  • 1 1/2 c. oil
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. poppy seed
  • 1 1/2 tsp. each: vanilla, almond and butter flavoring

Directions

    Grease 2 large loaf pans.

    Mix all ingredients with mixer until blended.

    Bake for 1 hour at 325° or until golden brown. (Sometimes it takes over an hour.)

    Test with toothpick.

    Let cool 10 minutes.

    Pour Glaze over bread while still in pan.

    Leave in pans 1 hour before removing.
