  • 1 1/2 lb. hamburger
  • 1/2 c. uncooked rice
  • 1 small onion, chopped fine
  • 2 slices bread, soaked in 1/2 c. milk
  • 1 c. celery, chopped fine
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 egg

Directions

    Mix well and shape into balls. Place in baking dish and pour 2 1/2 cups tomato juice over balls. Bake at 300° for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Best if simmered awhile.
