- 1 1/2 lb. pork, cut into bite size strips or chunks
- 2 Tbsp. oil
- 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can onion soup (not cream of onion soup)
- 2 1/4 c. water, divided
- 1 tsp. lemon juice
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3 c. chopped cabbage
- 1 c. thinly sliced carrots
- 1/2 c. green pepper strips
- 3 c. prepared barbecue sauce
Directions

1In a heavy Dutch oven or soup pot, lightly brown the pork in the oil.

2Add the onion soup, 1 1/4 cups water, lemon juice and salt.

3Simmer, covered, for about 15 to 20 minutes.

4Add cabbage, carrots, green pepper strips and barbecue sauce with additional 1 cup water.

5Cover and increase heat to medium.

6Continue cooking for about 15 minutes longer or until mixture is slightly thickened.
