Pork Chops With Rice

- 4 pork chops
- 1/2 stick margarine
- salt to taste
- 1 c. rice (uncooked)
- 1 (16 oz.) can canned tomatoes
- 1 medium onion
- 1 small bell pepper
- 1 (4 oz.) jar sliced mushrooms
Directions

1Brown pork chops in melted margarine; remove chops.

2Cook onion and bell pepper in same skillet.

3(I use an old iron skillet).

4Add rice, tomatoes and mushrooms and enough water to cook rice.

5Place pork chops on top.

6Cover and cook for 20 to 25 minutes in 325° oven or until rice is done.

7Chicken breast can be substituted for pork chops.
