Pork Chops With Rice

  • 4 pork chops
  • 1/2 stick margarine
  • salt to taste
  • 1 c. rice (uncooked)
  • 1 (16 oz.) can canned tomatoes
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 small bell pepper
  • 1 (4 oz.) jar sliced mushrooms

Directions

    Brown pork chops in melted margarine; remove chops.

    Cook onion and bell pepper in same skillet.
  3. 3
    (I use an old iron skillet).
  4. 4
    Add rice, tomatoes and mushrooms and enough water to cook rice.

    Place pork chops on top.

    Cover and cook for 20 to 25 minutes in 325° oven or until rice is done.

    Chicken breast can be substituted for pork chops.
