Ingredients

  • 2 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 Tbsp. shortening
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/3 c. water
  • Boiling chicken or beef broth (good with small pieces of meat in broth)

Directions

    Sift first 3 ingredients together; cut in shortening.

    Stir water and egg together and add to flour mixture.

    Roll very thin. Cut into squares and let rest 20 - 30 minutes.

    Drop into boiling broth.

    Cover & cook 20 minutes or until tender.
