- 4 lb. beef
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 envelope dried onion soup (Lipton's)
- 1 chopped onion
- 3 cloves garlic, chopped or pressed
- 2 c. red wine
- 2 c. water
- 1 large bay leaf, crushed
- 1 tsp. thyme
- 1 tsp. basil
Directions

1Place piece of beef in pot; add mushroom soup, envelope of dried onion soup, chopped onion, chopped or pressed garlic, 2 cups red wine and 2 cups of water.

2Add the crushed bay leaf, thyme and basil.

3Cover and bake in 350° oven until tender (about 3 1/2 hours or so).
