- 2 quarts water
- 2 bouillon cubes
- 1 onion
- 1 zucchini
- 1 carrot
- 1 celery rib
- 3 cabbage leaves
- 12 cup pastina (tiny pasta)
- salt and pepper
- 6 tablespoons gruyere cheese, grated
Directions

1Cut the vegetables into small slices julienne style.

2Place the water in a soup pot.

3Add bouillon cubes and vegetables and cook over medium heat for 40 minutes.

4Add the pastina, salt and pepper.

5Continue cooking for another 10 minutes.

6Serve hot and sprinkle with grated cheese on top of each serving.
