Ingredients

  • 6 good sized potatoes
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 egg
  • 2 c. sweet milk
  • 1/2 c. yeast
  • flour

Directions

    Boil potatoes with jackets on; take them out of skimmer; drain and squeeze with a towel to insure being dry.

    Remove the skin; mash perfectly free from lumps.

    Add butter, egg and sweet milk. When cool, beat in yeast.

    Put in just enough flour to make stiff dough.

    When this rises, do the same as biscuits and bake.

    Dough can be dropped into meat soups for pot pie.
