Ingredients
- 2 lb. potatoes, cubed and peeled
- 6 strips bacon, diced
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 3/4 c. chopped celery
- 2 carrots, diced
- 1 1/2 c. water
- 1 bouillon cube
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/8 tsp. cayenne
- 1/4 tsp. thyme
- 3 c. milk
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 2 Tbsp. soft butter
Directions

1Saute bacon and onion in large kettle.

2Add potatoes, celery, carrots, water, bouillon cube and seasonings.

3Cover and cook until vegies are tender.

4Add milk and heat through.

5Mix flour and butter.

6Add to chowder.

7Cook, stirring occasionally until slightly thick.
