Ingredients

  • potatoes, peeled and cubed (4 c.)
  • 2 large onions, sliced thin
  • 2 c. water
  • 1 (17 oz.) creamed corn
  • 2 tsp. onion salt
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1/3 c. minced parsley or dry flaked parsley
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 c. half and half (evaporated)
  • 1/4 lb. bacon, diced

Directions

    In 2-quart pan boil potatoes and onions in water until tender but not mushy.

    Do not drain.

    Add other ingredients, except bacon, and simmer for 10 minutes.

    Brown bacon and add little flour for thickening.

    Add to soup.
