- 3 c. mashed potatoes
- 2 c. coarse bread crumbs
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 2 Tbsp. Crisco
- 1 egg
- 1/2 c. flour (may be more; go by feeling)
- salt to taste
Directions

1Mix bread crumbs in melted butter and Crisco.

2Brown, stirring constantly.

3Mix into mashed potatoes; add egg, salt and flour. Form into balls size of small potato. Boil in salted boiling water in large kettle about 10 to 15 minutes.

4Remove from water and serve.
