- 3 potatoes
- 1 onion
- 2 Tbsp flour
- 1 Tbsp butter or margarine
- 200 ml milk
- 1 pinch garlic powder
- 3 Tbsp grated cheese
Directions

1Peel the potatoes and chop into 2cm slices.

2Put them into a pot of salted water and boil until the potatoes become soft.

3Slice the onion, and fry in a pan with olive oil until browned.

4To make the white sauce, put the margarine and flour into a pan on medium heat and stir until the mixture becomes sticky.

5Then add milk, season with salt, pepper and garlic powder.

6Continue to stir gently to avoid getting lumps in the mixture.

7Preheat the oven to 200C/400F.

8Put the potatoes with the onions on a baking dish and pour on the white sauce.

9Finally add grated cheese on top.

10Bake for about 15 min or until the top has browned nicely.
