- 4 large potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
- 3 cups heavy whipping cream
- salt & freshly ground black pepper
- 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
Directions

1Preheat the oven to 350°F.

2In a medium bowl, toss the potato slices with the cream until thoroughly coated.

3Generously butter a ceramic casserole dish.

4Arrange 4 layers of the potatoes in the bottom of the pan and season with salt and pepper.

5Sprinkle half of the Parmesan cheese on the potatoes and cover with 4 layers of potato.

6Season with salt and pepper, sprinkle on the remaining Parmesan, and layer the remaining potatoes over the cheese.

7Season with salt and pepper.

8Bake for 1 1/2 hours, or until the potatoes are tender.
