  • 1 c. mashed potatoes
  • 1 c. milk, scalded and cooled
  • 1 pkg. yeast, dissolved in 1/2 c. warm water
  • 2/3 c. Crisco
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 6 to 8 c. cake flour

Directions

    Cream the hot mashed potatoes, sugar and salt.

    Add yeast mixture and eggs. Add flour to make stiff dough.

    Let rise until double in bulk.

    Punch down and refrigerate.

    Make out rolls the next morning.

    Let rise again; allow at least 1 1/2 hours to rise. Bake 10 to 15 minutes at 400°.
