- 8 slices bacon
- 6 medium potatoes, cubed
- 2 stalks celery, chopped
- 1 small onion
- 2 c. water
- 4 Tbsp. flour
- 4 c. milk
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- salt and pepper
Directions

1Cook bacon until crispy.

2Set aside.

3To the drippings add potatoes, celery, carrots, onion, water, salt and pepper.

4Cook, covered, for 15 minutes or until tender.

5Combine flour and small amount of milk.

6Add to the vegetables with the remaining milk. Cook over medium heat until mixture boils.

7Garnish with bacon. Serves 4 to 6.
