  • 1 lb. bacon, browned and crumbled
  • 1 qt. chicken broth or soup base
  • 1 qt. chopped ham and broth
  • 1 bunch celery, diced
  • 3 onions
  • 4 1/2 qt. shredded potatoes
  • 4 carrots, shredded
  • 2 qt. milk, thickened with flour
  • salt and pepper for seasoning
  • parsley or seasoning salt to taste

Directions

    Cook celery and onions in bacon fat until done.

    Cook and drain carrots and potatoes, then mix everything together.

    Add the milk last.
