Ingredients
- 1 c. potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1 (14 1/2 oz.) can ready to serve chicken broth
- 1 c. milk
- 1/4 tsp. thyme
- 1 tsp. margarine
- 1/2 c. onion, chopped
- 1/8 to 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. white pepper
- instant potato flakes
Directions

1Combine first 3 ingredients in a large saucepan.

2Bring to a boil.

3Cover, reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes or until well done.

4Add milk and next 4 ingredients.

5Gradually add enough instant potato flakes to make soup as thick as you like.

6Cook over medium heat until thoroughly heated.

7Garnish with thyme sprigs if desired.

8Yields 3 1/2 cups.
