Ingredients

  • 4 large baking potatoes
  • 2/3 c. butter
  • 3/4 c. flour
  • 6 c. milk
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 4 green onions, chopped
  • 12 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 8 oz. sour cream
  • 1 heaping Tbsp. chicken base (chicken stock)
  • 1 to 1 1/4 c. shredded Cheddar cheese

Directions

    Bake potatoes, cool and cut into 1/2-inch cubes, leaving skins on.

    Melt butter; add flour and stir until smooth.

    Cook for 1 minute; add milk and keep stirring until thick and bubbly.

    Add potatoes, salt, pepper, onions, bacon, chicken base and cheese; cook until thoroughly heated.

    Add sour cream.
