- 8 potatoes, diced
- 2 onions, cut fine
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 1 c. rich milk or cream (can be canned cream)
- pinch of grated nutmeg
Directions

1Cook potatoes and onions in 2 quarts of water until tender. Mash well and return to heat.

2Add seasonings and butter; bring to a boil.

3Add hot milk.

4Serve immediately with croutons.
