- 6 to 8 potatoes
- 1 medium onion
- 1 garlic clove or garlic salt
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 stick butter
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 can cream of celery soup
- 1 (8 oz.) cream cheese
- 1 c. milk
- Cheddar cheese, chives or bacon bits (for garnish if desired)
Directions

1On low heat, cook potatoes, onion, garlic and salt and pepper with just enough water to cover; cook until done. Add butter, soups, cream cheese and milk to potatoes. Cook on low heat until thick. Garnish with shredded cheese, bacon bits or chives if desired and serve.
