Potatoes Cooked in Milk

4 ingredients
9 steps

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp Margarine or butter
  • 300 ml Milk
  • 1 dash Salt and pepper
  • 3 Potatoes, medium-sized

Directions

  1. 1
Peel the potatoes and slice into 5 mm rounds.
  2. 2
Put the sliced potatoes into a frying pan with water.
  3. 3
Boil for about 3 minutes and drain using a sieve (so the potatoes are only half-cooked)
  4. 4
In the frying pan (without water), add the milk and half-cooked potatoes.
  5. 5
Add margarine and sprinkle a little salt, then simmer for about 5-6 minutes on a low to medium heat.
  6. 6
When the milk has reduced but there is still some liquid left, sprinkle with a little pepper, and it's done.
  7. 7
Transfer to a serving dish (I recommend using a spatula).
  8. 8
I think it looks good with a little chopped parsley over the top.
  9. 9
I also tried adding some bacon in as well.
