- 6 Tbsp. oleo, divided
- 6 Tbsp. finely chopped onion
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. dried basil leaves
- 1/4 tsp. dried thyme leaves or dried chives
- 2 lb. white potatoes, peeled and very thinly sliced
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
Directions

1Preheat oven to 425°.

2Combine seasonings.

3Place 2 tablespoons oleo in nonstick skillet and melt.

4Arrange 1/3 of potatoes in a circular pattern, with about 1/4 of seasoning, 1/3 onion and 2 tablespoons soft oleo.

5Repeat layers 2 times.

6Cover tightly with foil and press down.

7Bake 20 minutes uncovered. Bake 20 minutes.

8Uncover; bake 20 minutes more or until potatoes are tender.

9Remove from oven; press down with spatula.

10Let stand 10 minutes; remove to a platter.

11Serve hot.
