  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 1/2 cup Crisco
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

    Cream first three ingredients until real fluffy.

    Add eggs, one at a time creaming after each. Gradually add flour, one cup at a time. Beat a long time then add milk and vanilla.

    The trick to a good pound cake is taking the time to beat it really well. Bake for one hour at 350°.
