  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 1 c. milk
  • 3 c. cake flour, sifted with 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 Tbsp. vanilla or lemon flavoring
  • 3 c. sugar

Directions

    Have everything room temperature.

    Cream margarine and Crisco, add sugar and cream well, then eggs one at a time.

    Then add 1/2 milk.

    Add flour, now add other 1/2 of milk.

    Bake in tube pan for 1 hour and 25 minutes at 300° or 325°.
