- 2 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 1/4 c. butter or margarine, softened
- 5 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 3 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 c. evaporated milk
Directions

1Grease and flour a 10-inch tube pan or 12-cup Bundt pan.

2Beat sugar, butter, eggs and vanilla in a large mixer bowl on low, scraping bowl constantly, for 30 seconds.

3Beat on high, scraping bowl constantly for 5 minutes.

4Beat in flour, baking powder and salt alternately with milk on low speed.

5Pour into pan.

6Bake at 350° for 70 to 80 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into middle comes out clean.

7Cool 5 minutes; remove from pan.
