  • 2 sticks oleo or butter
  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 3 1/4 c. cake flour
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 c. canned milk (add water to make 1 c.)
  • 2 Tbsp. butternut flavoring

    Cream oleo, Crisco and add sugar.

    Add one egg at a time.

    Add flour, salt and milk.

    Put in cold oven.

    Bake 1 hour and 45 minutes at 325°.

    Do not open oven until done.

    Bake in well-greased and floured tube pan.
