- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 3 beaten egg yolks
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- pinch of salt
- 1 c. milk
- vanilla or lemon to flavor
- 3 egg whites, beaten stiff
Directions

1Cream butter and sugar until light.

3Sift together dry ingredients and add to butter, sugar, egg mixture alternately with the milk and flavoring.
