- 2 sticks margarine
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 3 c. sugar
- 6 eggs
- 3 c. plain flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. milk
- 2 tsp. lemon extract
Directions

1Preheat oven to 325°.

2Grease and flour tube pan.

3Cream margarine and shortening together.

4Add sugar; beat well.

5Add eggs, one at a time; mix well after each addition.

6Sift flour and salt.

7Add lemon to milk.

8Add 1/2 of flour and 1/2 of milk to egg mixture; mix.

9Add remaining flour and milk; beat for about 15 minutes.

10Pour into tube pan; bake for 1 1/2 hours.

11Cool for 10 minutes; turn out on cake plate.
