- 2/3 c. butter or margarine
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 c. sifted flour
- 3/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2/3 c. milk
- 1 1/4 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Cream butter and sugar until smooth and fluffy.

2Add eggs one at a time and beat well.

3Sift flour, baking powder and salt together and blend into batter alternately with milk and vanilla. Do not overmix.

4Pour into greased loaf pan and bake in oven 1 1/2 hours at 325°.
