- 6 to 8 eggs
- 4 sticks butter
- 3 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. lemon flavoring
- 1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
- 3 c. sugar
- 1/8 tsp. salt
Directions

1Hold eggs and butter overnight at room temperature.

2With a large bowl, beat eggs first, then add butter (one stick at a time).

3Add other ingredients and beat well.

4Pour batter into a floured pound cake pan and bake for 1 hour and 40 minutes on top rack at 300°.

5Take care at end of time and let it cool for 20 minutes.
