Pound Cake

  • 3 sticks margarine
  • 6 eggs
  • lemon or almond flavoring
  • 1 lb. powdered sugar
  • 3 c. plus 2 Tbsp. sifted cake flour

Directions

    Cream the sugar and margarine until fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.

    Add 1/4 of the flour at a time and beat until smooth. Bake in greased and floured tube pan at 350° for 1 hour or until done.

    Invert pan on rack and leave until cool.
