  • 2 1/2 c. sugar
  • 6 eggs, separated
  • 1 tsp. lemon extract
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 c. sugar for egg whites

    Cream butter and sugar; add egg yolks, one at a time.

    Add flour, alternating with buttermilk in which soda has been dissolved.

    Add extracts.

    Add beaten egg whites to which 1/2 cup sugar has been added.

    Bake at 325° for 1 1/2 hours in a Bundt pan, greased.
