- 2 c. flour, sifted 4 times
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 1/2 sticks butter, softened
- 6 eggs
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Cream butter and sugar.

2Add eggs one at a time to creamed mixture, beating well after each egg.

3Add flour (about 2 tablespoons at a time).

4Beat in vanilla.

5Spoon into greased and lightly floured tube pan.

6Bake 1 hour at 300°.

7Check oven after 45 minutes; don't let it dry out.

8Can be frozen and thawed.
