  • 1 c. butter or margarine
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 6 eggs yolks
  • 3 c. flour (plain)
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 6 egg whites

Directions

    Cream butter and sugar.

    Sift together baking powder, salt and flour.

    Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk.

    Beat egg whites; fold into batter.

    Pour into greased and floured tube pan. Bake at 350° for 1 1/4 hours or until done.
