- 1 1/2 cups salted butter (3 sticks), at room temperature
- 3 cups/540 grams granulated sugar
- 6 large eggs, at room temperature
- 3 cups/270 grams sifted cake flour
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
Directions

1Preheat the oven to 325 degrees.

2Butter and lightly flour a 9-inch loaf pan or a bundt pan.

3With a standing or hand mixer, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

4Add the eggs one at a time, beating to blend after each addition.

5Add a third of the flour and heavy whipping cream alternately until thoroughly combined.

6Add the vanilla and mix until blended.

7Do not overmix.

8Transfer the batter into the prepared pan.

9If using a loaf pan, fill the pan to with a 1/4 inch of the top.

10You may have a little left over batter.

11Bake for 1 hour and 20 minutes, or until a knife inserted into center of cake comes out clean.

12Cool on a rack for 15 to 20 minutes before removing from pan.
