- 2 c. dark brown sugar
- 2 c. granulated sugar
- 3/4 c. butter or margarine
- 1 c. vegetable shortening
- 4 eggs
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 3 c. all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 3 c. uncooked oats
- 2 c. coconut
- 2 c. raisins
- 1 c. chocolate chips
- 1 c. chopped nuts
Directions

1Cream together the brown sugar, white sugar, butter and shortening.

2Beat in eggs and vanilla.

3Combine flour, salt and soda and beat into first mixture.

4Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet.

5Bake in preheated oven at 350° for about 8 minutes.

6Let cookies cool one minute and remove from pan.

7Makes 7 dozen cookies.
