- 24 graham crackers
- 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
- 1/2 c. margarine or butter
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 c. chopped pecans (or more)
Directions

1Arrange crackers in single layer in jelly roll pan.

2Heat brown sugar and butter to boiling.

3Boil and stir 1 minute (no longer); remove from heat.

4Stir in vanilla.

5Pour over crackers; spread evenly.

6Sprinkle with pecans.

7Bake at 350° until bubbly, 8 to 10 minutes.

8Cool slightly.

9Cut into bars, about 2 1/4 x 1 1/4-inches, each cracker into two bars.

10Use ungreased 15 x 10-inch jelly roll pan.

11Yield:

1248 bars.
