- 1/2 cup packed dark brown sugar
- 3/4 cup butter
- margarine, divided
- 2 tbsp. evaporated milk
- 1/2 cup pecans, coarsely chopped
- 2 cups light brown sugar, packed
- 2 eggs
- 1-1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp. salt
Directions

1In a saucepan, combine the dark brown sugar, 1/4 cup butter and milk.

2Stir over low heat until butter is melted.

3Pour into an ungreased 8-inch baking pan; sprinkle evenly with pecans.

4In a mixing bowl, cream lightbrown sugar and remaining butter; add eggs.

5Stir in flour, vanilla andsalt until moistened.

6Spread over pecans.

7Bake at 350F for 30-35 minutes or until brownies test done.

8Cool 5 minutes in pan; invert onto atray or serving plate.

9Cool slightly before cutting.
