Ingredients

  • 4 c. sugar
  • 4 Tbsp. white Karo syrup
  • 1 can condensed milk
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/2 Tbsp. vanilla
  • 1 can water
  • 4 to 6 c. pecans

Directions

    Put all ingredients into a large saucepan, except butter, vanilla and pecans.

    Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture boils, then often enough to keep from sticking.

    Cook until forms a firm, but not hard, ball in cold water.

    Remove from heat and add butter, vanilla and pecans.

    Beat until it holds shape when dropped on wax paper.
