- 1 lb. brown sugar
- 1 to 1 1/2 Tbsp. butter
- 3/4 c. evaporated milk
- 2/3 tsp. vanilla
- 2 c. pecan halves
Directions

1In heavy skillet, combine sugar, salt, milk and butter.

2Stir over low heat until dissolved.

3Add pecans.

4Increase heat.

5Cook to 234° (soft ball stage).

6Remove from heat.

7Stir in vanilla. Let cook in pan 5 minutes.

8Stir rapidly until mixture thickens and coats pecans lightly.

9Drop rapidly from a spoon on foil or wax paper.

10If too hard, add drops of hot water to desired consistency.
